Richard Daggenhurst was educated at Oxford University, England, where he read Law and got a Boxing Blue as a member of the Varsity boxing team. After graduating, he attended the Inns of Court School of Law and passed the Bar exam; he is admitted as a barrister to the Bar of England and Wales as a member of the Inner Temple. After admission, he worked in the City of London and on Wall Street, working as a bond trader for Dean Witter, Nomura, Merrill Lynch and Salomon Brothers through the 1980s. He then set up his own investment management firm and developed an automated computerized trading system that advisedand traded in-house and client funds in stocks, bonds and commodities. Working for investment clients, he moved to the far East to manage industrial manufacturing investments. He later moved to California and was admitted to the California Bar in 2003; he first volunteered for, and then worked at, the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, as a trial lawyer in its Eviction Defense Center, thereby gaining extensive litigation and settlement experience in client matters. Richard has tried more than 500 cases and has handled or settlend more than 1000 landlord tenant matters. Daggenhurst is a member of the Los Angeles County, Pasadena, San Gabriel, and San Fernando Bar Associations. He is admitted to practice law throughout the State of California, and in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Daggenhurst is fluent in Spanish, German, Greek and French. He is married with three sons, and he enjoys bicycling (he is a certified qualified bicycle mechanic), reading, and classical music. Raymond Zakari earned his B.A. in Anthropology from the University of California at Santa Barbara. After Santa Barbara he attended Law School at the University of Oregon, where he earned his Juris Doctorate degree. While in law school Zakari was a co-founder and later president of the Native American Law Students Association, he worked for and on behalf of several Native American Tribes. Moving to Los Angeles, Zakari started as a tenants’ advocate with a single religious discrimination case, he quickly found his niche and gained a reputation as an aggressive no holds barred (but ethical) litigator. Zakari, under the firm name of Zakari Law, represented both landlords and tenants in commercial and residential disputes. Zakari took on difficult appeals and won them, Zakari defended eminent domain actions that other lawyers wouldn’t touch and won or settled them favorably. Zakari has tried hundreds of cases for both landlords and tenants and handled more than 1000 landlord tenant matters. Zakari is a member of the Los Angeles County, Pasadena, San Gabriel, and San Fernando Bar Associations. He is admitted to practice law throughout the State of California, in the United States District Court for the Central District of California and in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Zakari is fluent in Spanish, German, and Armenian. He is a licensed Ham Radio Operator, (KI6DAM) and is an active volunteer with the Beverly Hills Police Department’s Disaster Communication Services (DCS). Austin State University in Nacogdoches , Texas , where she earned a Bachelor of the Arts in English Literature and in Political Science. A Texas native, she relocated to the West Coast and enrolled at Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles , California , where she earned her Juris Doctorate.While at Southwestern, Trotter was actively involved in the University's Journal of Law and Trade in the Americas . Her two-year commitment to the program coupled with her undying love for America's favorite past-time resulted in the publication of her article concerning Major League Baseball's impact on Latin American communities, entitled Rooting for the Home Team: How Major League Baseball and Latin America Can Better Provide for the Safe-ty of Their Players (13 Sw. J. L. & Trade Am. 445 (2007).) Trotter is licensed to practice law throughout the state of California , in the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and in the United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She joined Daggenhurst Zakari, APC in 2007. Never one to pass up a unique opportunity while in college, Trotter babysat debris from the Columbia Space Shuttle explosion onsite for the federal government Trotter also enjoyed capitalizing on her scholastic travels. Southwestern's Moot Court competitions, for example, took her to New York City , Washington D.C. and New Orleans ' Mardi Gras. Trotter is now eagerly awaiting her first Mediterranean-based Landlord/Tenant assignment. |
